What kind of movements and gestures can we perform to create micro narratives and transformations amongst diverse practitioners, thinkers and visitors? What type of shape and consistency do art organisations need nowadays to face the constant socio-political changes? How can we transform the gallery into a generative space for relational and affective cartographies?

Suprainfinit Collisions invokes the twilight shapeshifters to disperse magic and mutation during the 16-hour long marathon. It takes embodied knowledges and storytelling as a methodology for trans-disciplinary collective speculation and rehearsal. Starting in the belly of the gallery space, the marathon peels its skins off throughout the day and night leaving behind an atmosphere of metamorphosis. “If the only constant in the third millennium is change, then the challenge lies in how to think about processes, rather than concepts” (Rosi Braidotti).

Celebrating the end of the project Marathon of Art Practices, the live event Suprainfinit Collisions invites artists, performers, writers, musicians, sociologists, anthropologists, and cultural theorists to tackle physical, cultural and historical shifts. It assembles multiple perspectives on what change, memory and movement mean in our complex environment.

Experimenting for the first time with the marathon format, Suprainfinit Collisions takes place for the duration of 16 hours in two locations: at Suprainfinit Gallery from 8am to 4pm and continues at Apollo111 Theatre from 5pm to midnight, playing with the mutability of white-cube and black box spaces.

WOR(L)DS – Performance by Eliza Trefas (RO)
12:00-13:00 at Suprainfinit Gallery
WOR(L)DS has become to performer Eliza Trefas a way to process things through body and language. It is a practice and performance by which a world makes itself felt, escaping rigid definitions and coherent sense. Through a sensible attention on the body, a world takes contour. On a line between affect and word, she places on a point that doubts the separation of the two and generates worlds. What follows is a sort of following the dream, sliding on its surface, catching it in her mouth. The body moves between what we perceive and don’t, between known and unknown, between visible and not so visible.
